The DS2200 series is available in 2 models to best suit your needs - the corded DS2208 or the cordless DS2278 with Bluetooth 4.0 technology. Both models in the DS2200 series offer uncompromised management and ease of use, with the ability to work right out of the box.
The Zebra DS2200 range offers instant decoding with Zebra's PRZM intelligent imaging. The PRZM's software decoding algorithm provides exceptional decode ability, even on damaged or poorly printed barcodes. Both models also boast omni-directional scanning, meaning users never have to line up the imager and barcode - unlike typical 1D scanners. Users can expect first time, every-time scanning which greatly improves speed and productivity at the checkout. Both models in this range work as both point-and-shoot scanners and presentation scanners, providing flexibility and ease-of-use for almost any business. Regardless of whether you are using the corded DS2208 or the cordless DS2278, the scanner can simply be put into the presentation cradle to begin scanning - no additional configuration is required.
Charging the DS2278 is fast, easy and flexible. Boasting a 2400mAh battery capacity, the DS2278 is chargeable via host or any standard wall socket. The DS2270 charges in just 1 hour, providing up to 14 hours battery life. If being used as a presentation scanner, the scanner charges consistently while in use, ensuring that the scanner does not lose power during crucial moments.
Both models in the DS2200 range come with IP42 environmental sealing. The scanners are designed to withstand multiple drops at 5ft/1.5m to concrete, and also up to 250 tumbles from 1.5ft/5m.
DS2278 models come complete with Bluetooth Version 4.0 with BLE, providing connectivity up to 33ft from the connected device.
